Hi! I'm Kat — mother of 3 crazy, wonderful little creatures who I love to travel with.

I met my husband, Ben, in Amsterdam while finishing my Master's degree and working as an au pair for a family there. Children and families have always been a passion of mine, and that hasn't changed to this day.

After settling down in the East Bay, where I was born and raised, I couldn't think of anything better than bringing educational services to local families. I needed these very services myself during my transition into motherhood, and I was saddened by how few there were.

Family is everything to me, and every client I work with becomes family too. I hope we get to meet in one of my in-person classes here at Little Seeds — and if not, feel free to say hi when you see me out and about in the community! It takes a village, and I hope you find yours here with us.

When Survivors Give Birth Trauma Consultant

Hi, I’m Lauren! Mama to 2 little girls and wife to James.

I’ve lived in the Walnut Creek area for 20 years and have worked as an Occupational Therapist (OT) for 11 years and after leaving work to be home with my girls a few years ago, I earned a certification as a Baby Led Sleep & Wellbeing Specialist and have supported families as a Holistic Sleep Coach for the past 3 years. My passion for supporting families, specifically mothers, has grown tremendously and I've recently expanded my work to include facilitating mom & baby groups and supporting mothers through postpartum coaching.

I've always wanted to be a mother, and after the birth of my first daughter, I had so many questions-- was I doing everything right, is she sleeping ok, is something wrong with her, why does my body feel like this?? But no one was talking about these things and I didn't know who to go to. The mom & baby group I was part of was so big, with such watered down information that it didn't feel helpful. I felt so alone.

After talking with and listening to so many mothers, I realized I wasn't the only one. So, I combined my knowledge, expertise and experience as an OT and sleep coach to create this mom & baby group; basically the group I wish I had.

It's no secret that mothers need more support, and I'm honored and thrilled to step into that space.

Hi, I’m Ash! The newest of the co-owners and mom/bonus mom to 7, ranging in age from mid-twenties to middle school, with my incredible partner Rob (family picture circa 2020).

I’ve been in the bay area for the last 16 years, supporting families on their journeys through birth, burnout, and BIG transitions. And I'm on a mission to reimagine what it means to SUPPORT mothers- with REAL TOOLS, REAL COMMUNITY, and REAL CHANGE! .

I did things a little backwards and didn’t finish my degree until the same fall that my eldest kiddo started college. That was just a few years ago but my education in psychology, with an emphasis on trauma, informs the work I do today- because trauma is anything that overwhelms our resources or ability to cope and for many of us, starting or growing our family can be just that!

Support is the #1 factor that changes that for the parents in my community, and it is a dream come true to create the village I needed but didnt have as a young mom. As a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, and pre-to-postnatal yoga teacher, I get to see first hand how the families that have strong support systems and community so often thrive while those who parent in isolation, without support, are left in survival mode.

As a new young mom decades ago, I didn’t know it could look different, but now I do and it’s my life’s mission to help families create the support and find the community that I know makes a difference.
